The exam lasts 2 1/2 days.
The Idaho Essay Exam will be administered
on the first day. It consists of four essay
questions administered over three hours. On
the second day, six Multistate Essay Exam
questions and two Multistate Performance Test are
administered.

Bar Exam Scoring Information
The MBE counts for 1/3 of the total score.
The rest is combined and counts for 2/3 of the
score. An overall passing score is 70%.
Can transfer MBE score taken
within 25 months of exam.

Attorneys licensed in
Washington state may be eligible to be admitted on
motion in Idaho. Attorneys who have actively
practiced 5 of the 7 years preceding application are
not required to take the MBE.
